Ina C. Charvet
Ms. Charvet focuses primarily on the litigation of real property disputes and contract claims; commercial and residential leasing; landlord-tenant issues; formation of business entities; and contract and fair-housing matters.
Ms. Charvet appears regularly in state courts in all Northern Virginia jurisdictions and periodically in the Virginia Supreme Court. She also is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and in the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Her clients include some of the largest commercial and residential landlords in the region, property management companies, developers and real estate brokers.
Some of Ms. Charvet's notable litigation includes winning a $56+ million judgment for the Attorney General of Virginia as part of a three-attorney team prosecuting a breach of fiduciary duty lawsuit; and successfully defending a lawsuit by a national corporation attempting to demolish the centuries-old, historic driveway of a Leesburg, Virginia mansion house once owned by the family of George Mason. Further, Ms. Charvet has obtained judgments of a combined value in excess of $1 million on behalf of local commercial landlords.
After receiving a B.A. in Psychology from Vassar College, Ms. Charvet obtained her J.D. from George Mason University School of Law in 1996. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the Arlington County Bar Association.
